Her Majesty's Court Service

Network Security and Fire were successful in their bid to supply, install and commission a Fire Detection & Alarm System within a large Court Building in Basildon Essex on behalf of Her Majestys Court Service. Committed to working to the highest standards recognised and holding the NSI Gold medals for Security and Fire installations as well as the nationally recognised quality scheme for Fire Alarm systems BAFE SP203, Network Security and Fire took on the challenge and developed a solution which exceeded the clients expectations.

Working in partnership with Apollo Fire Detectors, Network Security and Fire developed an effective solution which comprised of an analogue addressable Alarm system using a 50 Zone control panel with zone devices to provide detection and electronic alarms on the same addressable loop with smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points and base sounders / LED Beacons.

The existing Sounders and beacons were connected to the system via the Mains and Interfaces reconnected and reused via new interfaces. A Repeater was fitted in the Cell Area (as existing) and two graphical mimics were replaced by a PC based Graphical Interface. The base units for all the detectors were the same with full interchange ability throughout. Temperature sensors were attached to the bases and optical smoke detectors all of which were from the Apollo XP95 / Discovery range

All the optical smoke detectors were installed in compliance with British Standard 5446: Part 1 and the all heat detectors were installed in compliance with British Standard 5445. The system was supplied, installed and commissioned by Network Security & Fire in accordance with BS5839-1:2002.
