The Basingstoke Samaritans branch is one of 18 branches located within the South Region and is staffed 24 hours a day 362 days a year by volunteers. These volunteers respond to and deal with incoming calls, emails, text messages as well as offering convenient times for people to pop in and talk with them face to face.
The charity wanted to add additional security to their premises in the way of a door entry system and when Network Security and Fire heard they didnt have the budget the company decided to donate both the equipment and the installation of a new TDSI door entry system to the charity.
They were absolutely delighted by the donation which has proven a bit hit with the volunteers.
A spokesperson for the Samaritans said
We very much appreciate the generosity from supporters of the charity, the door entry system is a project we would not have been able to fund from our own resources and its important to show our volunteers that we value them and care about their security.
Thank you on behalf of all the Basingstoke Samaritans branch trustees and volunteers
Network Security and Fire and their employees are proud to have contributed to such a worthwhile charity by offering added security to their premises and reassuring the safety of the volunteers who donate their time to the charity.
